Brand Development with D8 Studio

Brand Development with D8 Studio
This week we had the pleasure of welcoming David, Fiona and Steven from D8 Studio in Glasgow to our home here on Barra to work on a Brand Workshop for us.
We feel we are at an important stage in our development as a distillery and with our Whisky Distillery Plans taking shape, we want to make sure our brand reflects our products. It is time for our brand to develop.
We have been with D8 Studios since the very beginning of our journey when they created our initial Brand Identity in 2017.
During this workshop, we discussed our thoughts on the distillery’s personality, beliefs, values and ambitions. This workshop is a key step in beginning to evolve and develop the Isle of Barra Distillers brand position as a tool for strategic growth as we look to expand our product offering and build a new distillery on the island. This will provide the foundations for the evolution of the company’s brand architecture and visual identity. We have the opportunity to do something great and that is exactly what we’re going to achieve. Creating opportunities that not only we can be proud of but the whole of the Isle of Barra can be proud of too.
A highlight of D8’s visit for us was to have them stand on the future site of our new Distillery to give them a connection to the land where the distillery will one day be built.
David, Fiona and Steven got a feel for the island and also got a taste of the difficulties of living on such a remote island when their flight home was cancelled due to bad weather. On the plus side, we got another night to spend with them before they returned to Glasgow.

We look forward to developing our brand with D8’s help and sharing with you the next stages in our Brand Development.
