Gin Here, Gin There, Gin Everywhere!

Gin Here, Gin There, Gin Everywhere!

We kicked off with our first event of the year at beGIN on Byres Road just last week. A collaborative event in which we were hosted by the wonderful team at beGIN Glasgow allowing us to use their candle lit bar and launch our Barra Atlantic Gin, with it now being available on their premises. The University of Glasgow Gin Society filled up the majority of seats and we had a fantastic turn out of over 30 people, all eagerly awaiting the story and success behind our award-winning Gin, oh and even more eager for a taste of our Island Spirit. The hustle and bustle of the West End of Glasgow is undoubtedly the perfect spot to enjoy one or two G&T’s any day of the week!

In previous journal entries, we asked you to stay tuned for our upcoming events. Well, we’re ready to share some of them with you, just not all yet!

Next month were starting with The Scottish Seaweed Industry Association where we will be on hand offering samples of our Island Spirit for the Annual Conference at Oban’s Corran Halls. With Oban being the seafood capital of Scotland and the gateway to the Isles, can you think of a more fitting location? Speaking of fitting, our key botanical being carrageen seaweed is just the cherry on top for this gathering!

We’re mixing it up entirely and taking our Gin for a well-earned break to Distinction Health & Beauty in Glasgow’s affluent area of Clarkston. This is going to be an evening of specialised skin treatments demonstrated by the intelligent skincare experts of the salon, along with hand & arm and foot & leg massages which will also be available for the lucky clients. Now it’s not all pamper for us unfortunately, while the girls keep busy, we’ll be hard at work transforming the Nail Bar into a Gin Bar, where we will be offering the perfect serve of our Barra Atlantic Gin, Walter Gregor’s Tonic, ice cubes and finally a wedge of pink grapefruit to garnish.  I don’t think I’ll hear any arguments there! If this evening sounds too good to be true, then you better believe it and to make things even better, all we ask for in return is a recommended donation of £5.00, which will go towards Cancer Research UK*.

We thought we’d finish the month of February off with a bang and make a trip from The Big Smoke to the picturesque Port Appin, where we will be joining the team at the popular Pierhouse Hotel for an evening of Barra Atlantic Gin infused canapes, carefully created by Chef Michael and accompanied with none other than Barra Atlantic Gin twisted cocktails! A wonderful evening for food and gin connoisseurs and for anyone looking to hear all about our Island spirit, distillery and home.

All of the above event’s are detailed across our socials, here you can find out timings, prices and locations on our Facebook, Instagram and Twitter Pages.

The Scottish Gin Society Consumer Choice Awards 2020 is currently running & we would be extremely grateful if you could spare a few minutes to complete the survey & vote for our Barra Atlantic Gin.
