Shipping policy

International Deliveries 

All International deliveries are sent by courier (DHL Express). 

Collections by DHL take place from our distillery Monday - Friday. 

Your shipping cost is calculated at checkout. Duty and taxes are not calculated within the shipping cost and are payable by the customer once contacted. 

Unfortunately we cannot yet ship to Austria, Australia, Canada, France, Sweden or the USA. We are working on this and will announce once this service is possible.

We do ask for a little understanding about our Islands location when it comes to delivery times. Now and again there is the chance of poor weather and this has a knock on effect to the mail leaving our island.

The journey of our mail from the Isle of Barra:

  • By ferry from Barra > Eriskay (our northern neighbours)
  • From Eriskay >  South Uist > Benbecula > North Uist  
  • By ferry from North Uist > Harris > Stornoway
  • Jets off on a flight from Stornoway > Aberdeen
  • Jets off on a flight from Aberdeen > Country of destination

Domestic Deliveries 

All UK deliveries are sent by courier (Royal Mail 48h Signed For).

For UK deliveries please allow 7 working days from clearance of funds which take 1-3 working days.

We operate a 4 day working week, resulting in all mail being shipped between Monday to Thursday. From Friday to Sunday, no mail will be shipped from the distillery, please take this into consideration when placing your order. We thank you for your patience and understanding regarding this. 

Please note: While we aim to have your order with you in 7 working days (Monday – Friday) this can vary depending on the demand, as we are limited to our daily shipments with Royal Mail. During busy periods, our delivery time can be longer but we will do our best to have your order with you as soon as possible. Please ensure to order in plenty of time and please do not hesitate to contact a member of our team if your order is required urgently.

All products are packaged and shipped individually from our distillery. Occasionally your order can be split during shipment and placed into separate Royal Mail bags as they are sorted in Benbecula, Stornoway, Inverness and then finally Glasgow before being delivered. There is a possibility that your goods can arrive over different days and at times a few days apart.

  • Sorted in the Post Office of Benbecula
  • Jets off on a flight from Benbecula > Stornoway
  • From Stornoway > Inverness where it is distributed to its correct sorting office

We are pleased to report that the our chosen method of delivery enables our shipments to leave only a small carbon footprint throughout its extensive journey from us to you. As our mail travels via road, ferry and flight we are utilising existing methods of public transport links to have our mail travel to the mainland and beyond.

All delivery charges are calculated by product weight.
