Use of our Online Shop

We cannot sell alcoholic products to anyone under 18. By using this website shop, you confirm that you are at least 18 years of age and of legal drinking age in your country of residence. For this reason, we may refuse an order at our discretion and orders may not be transferred from the customer to any other person. You, the buyer, shall be responsible for ensuring the accuracy of the details provided in your order and we will not be obliged to accept an order if all details required are not fully captured.

Payment

Payment can be made online by debit or credit card. All payments will be settled in GBP. We accept the following: Card Payments and PayPal Express Checkout.

Your payment details will be encrypted to maximise security. Authority will be requested at the time of payment at the checkout. Your account will be automatically charged for your order once it has been acknowledged. Our liability to you in connection with any order will not exceed the total price charged for the relevant items.

The Isle of Barra Distillers Co. reserves the right to cancel any order received and refund the total value of the order to the cardholder.

Prices

All prices are in GBP (Great British Pound). The prices are clearly set out on our website. All prices are expressed inclusive of any V.A.T payable, but exclusive of delivery costs. You will be advised of the delivery cost for your area at the time of the order being accepted.

Early Access First Release Barra Single Malt Offer - April 25th 2024

This early access opportunity relates to the offer from the Isle of Barra Distillers Ltd to its customers with the chance of securing one of the first bottlings released once we see fit that our whisky will be released.  The date of release is subject to change, with the anticipated release year being 2030, but we repeat, this is subject to change and may be sooner or longer, but this is at the choice of the Isle of Barra Distillers Ltd.

What the buyer will be purchasing - 

  • Limited edition, hand-signed by one of our co-founders, a first-release bottle of our Single Malt Whisky
  • 50ml custom bottle, matching our 70cl bottle, meaning you can sample the liquid without breaking the seal on your full-sized bottle
  • Bespoke gift packaging, separate from anything other than what we will release.
  • Separate from our official release, so this will be a collector's item.

The age of the single malt at release is unknown at this stage and will be decided upon by the Isle of Barra Distillers when they decide to release it. 

The offer is separate from that of what the IOBD Club members will receive on their first bottling as their offer is not part of this early access opportunity.

“THE ISLE OF BARRA DISTILLERS CLUB” – TERMS AND CONDITIONS

  1. DEFINITIONS

“Conditions” means these terms and conditions of sale;

“Scotch Whisky Regulations” means the Scotch Whisky Regulations 2009 (as may be amended or re-enacted from time to time); 

  1. BASIS OF CONTRACT

The submission of an Order by You constitutes an offer by You to purchase a Membership in accordance with these Conditions. You are responsible for ensuring that the terms of the Order are complete and accurate.

The Order shall only be deemed to be accepted when the Company issues a written acceptance of the Order at which point the Contract will come into existence.

The Contract constitutes the entire agreement between the parties. The Member acknowledges that it has not relied on any statement, promise or representation made or given by or on behalf of the Company which is not set out in the Contract.

By placing an Order You acknowledge and confirm that You are at least 18 years old. The Company will not accept Orders from, nor arrange delivery of alcohol to, any person under the age of 18 at the date of the Contract. If the Delivery Location is specified to be outside of the United Kingdom then by placing an Order You acknowledge and confirm that You are at least of the minimum legal age to purchase alcohol in accordance with the laws of that country.

Bottle labelling and packaging details as shown on any marketing material are indicative images only. Final labels and packaging of the Founder’s Reserve will be determined by the Company at the time of bottling. They will comply with all Scotch Whisky Regulations and any other relevant legislation pertaining at the time;    

RIGHT TO CANCEL AND APPLICABLE REFUND

Cancellation of Order:

You may cancel Your Order within 14 days from the day on which Your Order is confirmed by the Company by notifying the Company in writing, within the stated term, by emailing INFO@ISLEOFBARRADISTILLERS.COM or by writing to the Company.

Full payment of the Membership Price is due at time of Order;

Stock Availability

All of Isle of Barra Distillers Ltd’s products and services are subject to availability. If we are unable to fulfil your order we will contact you within 5 working days of receiving your order.

Shipping

All deliveries are sent by Royal Mail. For UK deliveries please allow 7 - 10 working days from clearance of funds. From Barra our mail is taken by ferry to Eriskay, then to Benbecula after passing through South Uist. Once it's sorted in the Post Office in Benbecula, it's put on a flight to Stornoway before it finally lands in Inverness and is distributed to the correct sorting office. So, our mail journeys through five different islands before it gets to the mainland. Sometimes adverse weather conditions can delay this journey. We appreciate your patience. We have introduced a 4 day working week. All mail is shipped between Monday and Thursday only. 

Stock Availability

All of Isle of Barra Distillers Ltd’s products and services are subject to availability. If we are unable to fulfil your order we will contact you within 3 working days of receiving your order.

Returns and Refunds

We do hope that you are happy with your purchase. However, should you feel it necessary to return an item because it is faulty or different to that which you have ordered, we aim to make the return process as simple as possible. We must be notified of damaged or faulty goods within 2 days of delivery. We will refund you using the method of payment used to make the purchase. Goods must be returned unopened, sealed and in the original packaging. Isle of Barra Distillers Ltd will refund accepted returns within 30 days of you notifying us about the return. The postage of the return is the responsibility of the purchaser. Liability for loss or damage during transit of goods being returned is the responsibility of the purchaser.

Discounts and Promotions

From time to time, Isle of Barra Distillers may offer discounts, promotional codes, or special offers. Unless otherwise stated, discounts cannot be combined with any other offers including free shipping or applied to previous purchases. Discount codes must be entered at checkout and cannot be applied once an order has been placed.

Free shipping offers apply only to qualifying orders and destinations as specified in the promotion details. Isle of Barra Distillers reserves the right to modify, suspend, or cancel any promotion or discount at any time without notice.
