win a trip for two to Barra

For the next 12 months, we will be giving away an incredible trip for two, every month to visit and stay on the Isle of Barra. The lucky winners will win return flights for two from Glasgow and will fly into the only airport in the world where commercial flight times are determined by the tide times as the plane lands on the famous Traigh Mhor beach.

The prize will include an overnight stay on Barra at one of four of the local hotels, a £50 dinner voucher and a private tour for two at our distillery with one free bottle of Barra Gin. 

How to enter

Purchase a bottle of our award🥇winning Barra Gin then send a copy of your sales receipt to the following email address competition@isleofbarradistillers.com.

So, for example, if you purchased your bottle on the 12th of September,  simply take a photo of your receipt and send to the above email address, list your name and then you will be entered into the September draw which will be made in October.  

Our team will collate all the sales data for the month and pick a winner at random and the winner will be notified.

                                                                 COMPETITION TERMS AND CONDITIONS

Strictly over 18s only. This competition has been arranged and will be facilitated by and only the Isle of Barra Distillers Ltd. At no time does Waitrose & Partners have any responsibility toward the competition organiser or competition winner(s).This is both in a legal sense and also a duty bond sense. The winner(s) will be responsible for their own welfare while travelling during the entirety of their trip and using the prize awarded. The IOBD (Isle of Barra Distillers Ltd) waives all responsibility for insurance costs for both health and lost goods if such events occur.  The prize is valid for 12 months from the date of notification that the winner(s) have been notified. The Competition will run from August 2025 to August 2026. The winner(s) will be awarded a Logan Air flight voucher, and it is up to them to select a date/time that they wish to travel to Barra. They will then book suitable accommodation from one of four hotels on the Isle of Barra, and we will then cover the costs of the accommodation and the £50.00 dinner voucher.  The IOBD will only cover the room rate and £50.00 towards dinner - any additional costs will not be covered by the IOBD. They include additional food or/and beverages, damage to rooms, late fees or penalties.  The room is a standard double with the only exception being an accessible room. The winner(s) are obliged to inform the IOBD when they are travelling, and the IOBD will need 30 days' notice to arrange a suitable time for the private tour and tasting - failure to give notice of 30 days and more will result in the IOBD not guaranteeing a tour time will be available on their chosen date of travel. The winner(s) will need to arrange their own transport while on Barra, and this is not part of the price, nor is it the responsibility of the IOBD to arrange or facilitate this. The Logan Air Voucher will be set at £210.00 per winner, and this will enable the winner(s) to purchase two return flights from Glasgow, which consist of the following, 15kg Hold Luggage, 6kg Hand Luggage + Handbag - the winner(s) are welcome to purchase high-value tickets but that will be at the winner(s) costs and choice. This price was based on the prices set August 2023 - since then there has been a change in price with an increase. It will be down to the competition winner to cover any additional costs. If the winner(s) have booked accommodation and then cancel before arrival, they must refer to the individual hotel cancellation policy. The IOBD will not cover any additional expenses incurred, and the winner(s) will need to arrange their own travel if they wish to rebook their trip. Do not at any time contact Waitrose and Partners about this competition, as it is solely run and operated by the Isle of Barra Distillers. The tour for two will be 20 minutes long and include a tasting of all our spirit ranges, the tour will end with one bottle of Barra Gin (70cl) being gifted to the winner(s).
