Isle of Barra Distillers Shortlisted in Prestigious Food & Drink Awards

 

Only 44 businesses made the prestigious awards shortlist that spanned 14 diverse categories, which ranged from Restaurant of the Year to Young Ambassador of the Year.

Delivered in support from Highlands & Islands Enterprise, the Awards celebrate quality, innovation and growth in one of Scotland’s most prosperous industries. Running for 13 years now, they showcase the diversity and excellence of the regions food and drink industry, contributing to the reputation of Highlands & Islands as a world food destination.

Michael, Director of the Isle of Barra Distillers said: 

“It’s a great day for all involved and a testament to all the hard work that has gone into the past year. To even be shortlisted is a great honour for us all here and in a time were Scottish food and drink is at an all-time high shows that what we are doing here on this small remote Island in the Outer Hebrides is working. We’re all looking forward to a great night out in Inverness on the 5th of October were I’m sure a few Barra gins will be had sláinte’

Winners will be revealed at the awards ceremony hosted by celebrated STV Presenter, Jennifer Reoch. The ceremony includes a fantastic Scottish dinner, and takes place in the Kingsmills Hotel, Inverness on Friday 5 October 2018.
